Cooling System Tester

Why I did this?
The Titian I had developed a water
problem. After a run, I would find many cup fulls of water inside.
Well everyone including myself thought the water was coming up
though the driveshaft. Well that wasn't the case. I tested the hull
in the bathtub. No leaks. Checked the water lines, they looked fine.
Everything else also looked fine. So I thought during the run the
pressure must have been causing a leak somewhere. I bought a $3
adapter that's normally used to attach a garden hose to a household
faucet. I epoxied a piece of fuel tubing into it. Then attach the
tubing to the water system on the hull. Pretty simple. Once I turned
on the water and was able to watch the water flowing threw the
system, I was able to find the razor type cut that was causing my
headaches. I now do the dunk test and the water system test at high
pressure to foresee any water leaks before hitting the pond. |
