Twin Outboards

I an attempting to add two Dolphin Outboard Motors to this
Kyosho Speed Vee that comes with one. More pictures and info to follow!

Pictures with burnt out 700's placed on top of the drives
and 24 cells installed. I need to move the cells further forward.
Right now the CG is about 20% off transom.

Good News, with much help from fellow Rc boater
Jeff Wohlt (see his page here)
we now have a 700 motor that will run in reverse!

Quest to bullet proof the Dolphin lower half of Outboard!
When I started running a dolphin outboard I had a couple of  problems.
First when a very modified motor was added I kept breaking flex shafts.
Second the unit was very inefficient.
Below are a couple of things I am going to try to help these problems.

My first step will be to get rid of the power robbing Teflon tubing that
comes stock with the system. To do this and keep things running smooth and aligned I will add 1 or 2 bearings in the area marked in the above picture. This should help things for binding.

Next I will use a Hughey 3/16 drive shaft that will accept a larger
.130 flex cable. The stock prop shaft has a collar that keeps the prop shaft from falling out of the housing. This collar doesn't allow for the shaft to move in or out with the compression of the flex shaft when it tightens on hard take offs. The new shaft will be able to side in and out with a flex shaft that is soldered to the prop shaft. This modification will also get rid of the squared off flex needed for the stock system.

MORE TO COME!
