Traxxas Spartan Splash Guard (Anodized Blue Color)
Most of us don’t frequently drive our Spartan in reverse. When we do, water gets pushed up and into the air vents of the cover causing the boat to fill up with water. This water can cause damage to the boat’s electronic components. Our specially designed splash guard for the Traxxas Spartan prevents water damage from occurring by preventing water from entering your boat. Before I installed this splash guard on my Spartan, I used to end up with about a cup of water inside my boat after each run. Now I barely get any water inside the boat. Not only do these splash guards work great, but they add a sporty look to the back of your boat as well.
Installing the splash guard onto your Traxxas Spartan is an easy process.
Method 1: Apply with heavy-duty double-sided tape (not included). Position the splash guard centered on the back of your boat ¼” below the hull lip. Cut a strip of tape the entire length of the splash guard, don’t just apply a piece here and there or water may shoot through the gaps defeating the purpose of the splash guard. Heavy-duty double-sided tape can be found in your local hardware store like Home Depot.
Method 2: Apply using included hardware. Position the splash guard centered on the back of your boat ¼” below the hull lip. Mark where your holes are going to be. Drill the holes into the back of the boat using a 1/8” drill bit. Apply a small amount of clear silicone around each hole and attach the splash guard using the included hardware.
