Info On Modified Version of the Aqua Jet Video

This is a slightly modified version of the Full Ready to Run (RTR), 775 electric, 12cell motor. We added a Flex coupler and a new 42mm carbon fiber propeller. Only $25 in parts was well worth every penny! And Took Only 10 minutes to install everything.. Oh ya, don't forget it takes about 10 minutes to check all the screws and install radio batteries. Total of 20minutes build time! Only tools needed for upgrades were allen wrenches and screwdriver. I ran this boat on 12- 3300 NiMH Batteries. The flex coupler makes the drive system smother, while the 42mm propeller has more pitch then the stock one. To see how the flex coupler was added.  At the end of the video there is a short clip of this boat on 16cells. Even faster! But water cooling is a must with 16cells.

The added speed of the upgrades was definitely apparent. For the beginner or advanced hobbyist, looking for some fun, speed and quick setup, this boat is the ticket!

Caution! While running this hull on 12 cells or more, the universal joint needs to be kept well greased! Also the longer you run the boat the more heat builds up in the motor. If the motor gets to hot it will burn up! On 14cells the boat will run faster, but the motor will heat up quicker. Keep an eye on the motor temperature. Have an adult give it the 5 second test. Which is, hold your finger on the motor for 5 seconds. If its so hot you can't hold it for 5 seconds, its too hot. Allow to cool fully before running again!

Info On Stock Version of the Aqua Jet Video

This was the Full Ready to Run (RTR) version, just add receiver batteries, stickers and off to the local pond! The tested boat had a 775 electric, 12cell motor. I ran this boat on 12- 3300 NiMh Batteries. It will run for over 8 minutes with these batteries. After adjusting battery placement  it was able to reaching speeds of 18-20mph. Max speed was verified on a Garmin Etrex GPS. This boat was a blast to drive. If we advanced the rudder throw all the way on the transmitter, at full speed, we could turn hard right and make it do a 360 degree spin out. A crowd of people gathered to watch the action!
