Oil in MI waters from tar sand spill

Nasty. I never heard anything on the news about this but, would we really hear much anyway?

Does anyone from the MI area know about this?

Where you been? It happened two years ago! Health studies over the past two years indicate no public health risks. Hard to know the truth, I don't believe these ad hoc videos since so many have proven to be bogus or pseudo science. One more conspiracy theory.....

Just thought it was pretty nasty. Sorry. Everything's fine back into the pool I guess...

What is to be gained by the public lying about it? Gov't funds allocated to other "more important" things is what keeps the real truth from emerging.

Hey Rum, do you know more about this than what the video told me? Is it bogus or what?

PS... gotta watch those WT's so Doug doesn't have to work so hard please.

Tar sands, also known as DilBit or diluted Bitumin, is a slurry made up of a caustic solvent, heated to 140* and pumped at 1400-1600 PSI. Pipelines are doubled with one pipe inside another. However the company responsible for pipeline construction from Canada to Texas has a rather dubious record with eleven leaks in one year.
The ecological damage done to an area in Alberta where Native American Indians now live can be seen in numerous tumors, cancers and other illnesses. Not to mention the massive damage to the surrounding environment.
Who ever thought this was a practical solution to energy needs must have been either crazy or trying to somehow create a profit driven scheme. The Koch brothers are financing the Keystone project, who are also involved in gasoline pricing manipulation. Do not trust these two hoodlums. They run a criminal enterprise.
