Is it really worth buying from china?

Just got my latest shipment today that I had to pay an additional £25 then to find that one out of 6 2s packs has puffed. It's only one of the cells that has gone too. I filled out the warrant thing at hobbyking but not sure it's even worth sending back as I cut the origional connector off before I noticed it had puffed. Firs pack I've ever had go. And even if they want it back wouldn't it be dangerous to put a puffed lipo in the post?

Obviously if it's the only issue you've had, it's well worth it. You'll still be saving tons of cash . If HK didn't exist, there would be far less people in this hobby, and American products would be priced even more outrageous than they already are.

Your prob right. I couldn't justify spending stupid money on batteries and to be fair of the couple of years I've being using lipos this is the first time I've had an issue so shouldn't complain really. It's just a bit crap that they say on their term and conditions that if your not happy returning a faulty battery due to safety then it's tough you can't claim on warranty!

If you did cut the connectors than your warranty is NO GO!!!!
It has to go back to them in original factory condition, as gift or RC warranty replacement used part.
IMO if you will sent it back you will pay too much for shipping. It has to go as registered mail with tracking.
Also when this battery will get there they will refuse warranty on it and you will have to say bye byu to your shipping money spent..... Never mind your battery...
            Keep in mind:
HOBBY KING is great for many of us including myself, do not get me wrong but:
            THEY ARE ONE WAY STREET!!!!!
Their customer service sucks and sometimes they are able to speak english like back to you....
Trust me on this. Been there, done that!!!

                Hi Guy's ,

Given the fact that in Hong Kong they speak English rather well , they should be aware of such independent sources of feedback as OSE.COM & consider caring more about their customers concerns . If HK lifted there game to a level in which was satisfactory with us hobby enthusiasts they would find that there public image would be enviable by other suppliers ........
