Futaba 4PKS-R and dual ESC Mixing

I recently got a pair of AS26-150 BL esc's. But I'm having a problem getting them to work with my 3PKS. I can calibrate them both independently, but when I connect them to a y-harness one esc is fine (solid green LED) and the other does nothing
(red LED). I've changed Y-harnesses, receivers, plugged them in one at a time directly into the receiver. Then unplugged them, while they both have a green LED, plugged them back into the harness. And still the same, one esc spins the motor and the other nothing.
I have a DX3R and I was able to get them both to work, but its a first gen DX3R and it doesn't work with spektrum marine receivers. (with a range of a 100 feet on the water)
So I'm considering getting a 4PKS-r and want to know if anyone is using its dual esc mixing option??

Did you disable the bec on one of the escs?
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Thanks for the reply. These esc's don't have a bec.
