    RC Fishing boat

I know it is not FE, but I have to refit a friend of mines 30" mono fishing boat. He would like to replace the useless stock motor with something better. I am looking for a slow(ish) powerfull brushless (maintenance free) system that can run off 7,2V Lipo all day (approx. 6-10 trips out and back in). I don't have the boat yet and I don't know what is in it currently...

How long is all day? With the size of the lipo packs out there even a 30 amp motor with a 10000mah lipo will run 15 minute or so.

If he is just using it to drop the line and come back he could recharge between runs if needed. I would go with a 700SC brushed motor, big prop, and 4 six cell nimhs - 2 in parallel then in series for good run times and decent speed.

That is the kind of info I needed, thanks a lot! What size (amp rating) ESC should I look for? The Yeti 600 is a bit expensive for this application (no racing)...

I have a carp king boat moddified with a 700bb motor in and a 40mm prop and it runs of a motor bike battery a 12v 12000mah wet cell/ pb, very heavy. It doesnt get on plane but outruns all the other bait boats by 2x the speed and it gets 20min run times. Just water cool the motor and esc. The nice thing is you take out the lines 200meters and is back on shore with in 2 min and it takes about 10min to regarge.

The Jeti navy 600 is the best choice IMO but you could possibly get away with this one.
