How to use a Rescue Boat??

    Hey guys,

Picked up a few "real" FE boats recently and will now be using my Brushless Waveshark as my rescue boat. So my question is....how does one use a rescue boat sucessfully??

Do you just ram the flipped boat and hope that it rights itself? Are you guys running some sort of rigged hook system on your rescue boats?

    Thanks in advance!

LOL, yes just ram the hull repeatedly!!!!!!!

Do a search for rescue boats. Most seem to rig up a pvc system to surround the boat and push it in. Lots of pics on here to show what I'm talking about.

I use a pvc rig. For a video click the rio rescue boat link in my signature. Here is a LINK to a thread about the RIO. You have a different boat, but the same theory applies. You just need to adjust your sizing to your application. Rescue boats are a great help.

        hahahaha

but thanks for the tip Diesel...I'll start measuring up my hull to make this thing work.

Also, I've never actually flipped a boat yet, (probably because my boats are too slow LOL) Diesel your boat looked like it was pretty submerged...are you waterproofing your lipos?

Nope hatch tape and extra floatation. The only thing I waterproof is the rx.

I use a Wave Shark as a rescue boat. I use a hook system and circle the disabled boat and haul it in.

I put an eyehook screw on the back of my rescue boat hull and I attach a fishing line from a fishing pole to it--- use the boat to haul out the line and drive around the straded craft, then reel 'em both back in. It helps to put a float about 1-2 feet from where the line attaches to the eyehook to keep the line on the top of the water. I am usually able to catch the rudder of the stranded boat.
