    Colorado Visit - Any RC Boating Venues Near Denver??

    Hey Guys... My wife, kids, and I are traveling to the Denver area on the 8th thru the 11th to do a little scouting to see if we want to move there. I think we'll be staying in the Centennial area, or somewhere between Highlands Ranch and the Cherry Creek area... Going to be running around checking out the area, looking into the Aerospace scene there, etc.

    Is there much RC boating that goes on in this general area, and, if so, where are the venues located? I'd like to drive around and check things out. Not bringing any boats with me, but would like to see if there there are already some sites, or if there are some potential sites, nearby. Also, are there any FE clubs in the area?

          Thanks to those of you contacted me privately concerning this. Sounds like the general Denver area is kind of lame when it comes to RC boating... Some have actually said they'd been kicked out of lakes by park rangers, etc... Hmmmmm.... This might SUCK!

          Well... we'll be leaving on Tuesday to see some of this first hand... Hopefully I can find out some positive news on the RC front... Would hate to have to switch to RC cars or something just to keep racing...

              Darin as far as I know thats like that in colo springs area as well, there is nitro guys that run but they are not an active club as far as I know.

                  I think you'll like the area, I know I did.
                  I stayed in Highlands Ranch (best friend's home) and the only things
                  that bothered me were the cold and the dryness.
                  About the RC scene, I thought there was at least one club
                  there, The Thundermountains or something like that.. they have a lot of water
                  that is usable there, maybe it's a virgin market looking for a leader with experience
                  in the area, you know... making things legal with permits or what not.
                  Have a good trip.
