    Here are some stipulations any NAMBA Legal buoys have to meet. This eliminates the ability to use single pool noodles, unless they are at least 6" in diamter:

    1. Buoys will be any object non-injurious to boat hulls such as styrofoam or plastic that
    floats at least 50% out of the water, is clearly visible, brightly colored (red, orange, or
    yellow), and securely fastened to their position. In no event will a buoy be less than
    six inches or more than 12 inches in diameter. Buoys must float a minimum of five
    inches above the water.

      Second 785...the only difference is we use light fenders surronded with pool noodles.Gill

        That's what we use for sub buoys. Yep, the 12" buoys cut in half will teach you to stay off of them depending on how the leaders are done.

          Lots of great info and cool info but for me I like the pool noodle idea the best... Cheap, easy and safe for the boats. Thanks for all the replies turned out to be a cool thread.

            The pond I run in has some small white balls in it making the course. Not sure how they are attached.
