    Max Amp Meter

Has anyone used a clamp on meter similar to this for measuring max amp draw?

If not, what about an inline RC analyzer? Is it possible to harm the esc if using one?

It would be great to make a lap and bring it in for a check during set ups.

from what i have heard is you can use Data Logging if you have a suitable ESC, this will log in amp draw etc etc and you can read it anytime. also Hobby King sell amp meters that plug in-line to your gear to read amp draw.

I'm trying to stay away from the complexity of data logging, I'm in search of something more quick and easy with less wires. Do you have experience with the RC analyzer that hobby king sells? I want to make sure that plugging one inline will not harm the esc.

The Datalogger I have with the display screen will show you instantly the values without having to take everything apart.

Ken, what data logger do you have? I'm using SF ESC's, yes de-cabling is a pain! But data logging is essential if you want to push limits as safe as you can be...
