    Corrosion X

So it's been a minute since I ran a FE boat. And I'm wondering if people still use Corrosion X to dry out their motors, etc. After a dunking where is a preventive measure

I never had any problems with this but some people are telling me that Corrosion X Will melt plastic such as in servo plugs etc.

Me too I just ran across some YouTube people saying it's bad for plastic and it's crazy to spray your motor with it that's counter to everything I knew

Been using it for years as well.
        From Corrosion X:
?Nor will it harm plastic, acrylic or rubber. The only exception is butyl (natural) and silicone types of rubber, which may swell when subject to CorrosionX.?

90% of people don't know just how good corrosion x is lol. The only thing I have ever seen it actually attack was pure silicon rubber and all it did was swell it slightly. I have been using the stuff for close to 15 years. Ideally you want to get yourself some electric motor cleaner and blast the motor out with it. Then just reoil the bearings.

Well, this may be a good product for stopping engine oil leaks on my somewhat old Chevy with its silicone gaskets.

Just don't get the HD version. It's like a jelly and will cause too much drag. Just get the standard version.
