hey guys i have a ammo 2300 that i wana put in my blackjack but i dont know what would b e a good prop for that motor. what prop should i go with a x442, x440 or you guys suggest somthin else?
I don't know too much about ammo 2300, but i am running x642 prop with an original ProBoat motor that was installed by the manufacture w/o any issues. So, if the ammo 2300 is better than the OEM motor. I don't see you having problem with x440 or x442 prop.
The Grim Racer 40mm X 52mm 3 blade is a good one. Lets that motor rev, which is what they like.
If the boat runs fine on the X440 with no heat problems (& there shouldn't be if the hull is running nice & dry) try the X640.
As Northern Boater suggests the M series props would work well. The M640 or maybe the M642 would be good. I've not tried them myself so I can't tell from personal experience.
As always start with the smallest, in both diameter & pitch, & work your way up.
Cheers.
Paul.
i currently have a x642 on the boat and i am not happy with the performance. i got better speeds with the stock motor than with the ammo 2300. i am jus looking to get as much speed as i can out of the ammo.

That would indicate the x642 was loading down the motor to much and not letting it rev up. You either would need to go to a lower pitch or smaller diameter.
