The traxxas spartan was what got me into this hobby initially. I hated the boat with passion as I knew little about everything, so after a lot of headache I sold it and couldn't be happier. Over a year later, I get some nostalgia and decide to prove to myself that a spartan can be built properly and be a very capable boat. I really like the shape and size of it.
- All custom hardware. None of the original holes fit so I had to cut the tabs off, epoxy them in, and re-drill, then reinforce and seal with epoxy over the bolts.
- The motor is a Leopard 4082 2200kv & seaking 180A v3 w/ additional watercooling (my own addition made of brass tubing and epoxy)
- Dinogy 3s batteries in series (6s), 4000 mah, 65c.
- Hitec waterproof digital servo
- Castle 6.5 connectors
- The shell itself is just an unpainted bare hull you can get on ebay for 100 bucks plus hatch (20). I reinforced it with expandable 2-part foam in the bow and a 12k CF inlay on the hatch, and a bolt locking system with a CF plate underneath.
