That big aluminum block is gonna be a killer of a heat sink. You better have a big mama soldering iron.

I have seen similar soldering jigs made from bakelite. MUCH better.

I use a micro torch so that big aluminum block isnt going to do much of anything but hold things to be soldered. If I do any soldering with an iron, its with a soldering station with 640 watts.

I ordered one last week. Seller listed them on another forumn for sale. Should work a lot better than my fingers

I clamp the wire am soldering to in a vise and let the batts, motor or esc hang while I use my benzo tourch to solder. I will only use a gun for small things.

That's a nice gadget...I just ordered one.....I wonder if it prevents the solder from weeping out the inspection hole(s) on side as well?....

Received my "Jigs Up" yesterday and this thing looks sweet! I was shocked that I had ordered it on Friday(new years eve) and it was shipped out the same day. I received it on Monday. Super fast shipping. I will try it late this week as soon as my new lipos and soldering station get here. I bought it because I recently built an enclosed trailer workshop and my work bench is latex painted plywood. I didn't want to burn up the paint when soldering so I think this should work just fine.
