Transom parts and notes.
Picture one shows a thrust washer with no space between the strut barrel and the drive dog, this should only be done when using a two-piece cable system. A two-piece system is a flex cable that has a square end that slides into the prop shaft and is NOT soldered. If a single-piece cable (where the flex cable is welded to the prop shaft), we suggest leaving a space approximately the same measurement as the thickness of the flex cable.
- Rudder Setback: The measurement from the transom to the leading edge of the rudder blade.- Leading Edge: The sharpened area of the rudder blade that runs in the water.
